چکیده
Tumor-adjacent normal (TAN) tissues, which constitute tumor microenvironment and are different from healthy provide critical information at molecular levels that can be used to differentiate aggressive tumors indolent tumors. In this study, we analyzed 52 TAN samples the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) prostate cancer patients developed a 10-gene prognostic model accurately predict biochemical recurrence-free survival based on profiles of these genes in tissues. The predictive ability was validated using an independent cohort. These 10 detected indicating distinct progression-related mechanisms two tissue types. Bioinformatics analysis showed were significantly enriched by p53 signaling pathway, may represent crosstalk tunnels between its pathways involving cell-to-cell contact paracrine/endocrine signaling. insight acquired study has advanced our knowledge potential role progression.

A Mimic of the Tumor Microenvironment on GPR30 Gene Expression in Breast Cancer
Introduction: The G-protein coupled receptor 30 (GPR30) gene is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) family; involved in breast, endometrial, and ovarian cancers. Many GPCR receptors that are implicated in several types of human cancers are correlated with increased cell proliferation and tumor progression; especially GPR30 gene. Methods: The breast cancer MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cel...
متن کاملHigher expression of the androgen-regulated gene PSA/HK3 mRNA in prostate cancer tissues predicts biochemical recurrence-free survival.
PURPOSE Alterations of the androgen receptor (AR)-mediated signaling through numerous mechanisms are increasingly recognized in prostate cancer (CaP) progression. We hypothesized that the assessment of well-defined AR transcriptional targets (e.g., PSA/HK3 mRNA) in CaP tissues will provide in vivo readout of AR dysfunctions. Moreover, quantitative expression features of PSA/HK3 mRNA in prostate...
متن کاملPositive expression of NR6A1/CT150 as a predictor of biochemical recurrence-free survival in prostate cancer patients
NR6A1/CT150, as an orphan receptor, is a novel member of the cancer-testis (CT) antigen family. Here, we investigated the expression and function of NR6A1 and its underlying mechanisms in prostate cancer (PCa) patients who underwent radical prostatectomy. A total of 303 cases of prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy were analysed in a tissue microarray (TMA) for NR6A1 immunohistochemistry...
متن کاملReduced Connexin 43 expression is associated with tumor malignant behaviors and biochemical recurrence-free survival of prostate cancer
Connexin 43, a gap junction protein, coordinates cell-to-cell communication and adhesion. Altered Connexin 43 expression associated with cancer development and progression. In this study, we assessed Connexin 43 expression for association with clinicopathological features and biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy. Pathological specimens were collected from 243 pa...

Background and Aims: An impairment of expression in MLL2 gene involved in histone methylation induces alteration in the methylation patterns at enhancers and causes several cancers including colon cancer. In this study, MLL2 expression was evaluated in North West of Iran. Materials and Methods: To evaluate the MLL2 expression in patients with colon cancer, 25 tumor samples and 25 samples of tu...
